چکیده

Biogas, consisting of CH4 and CO2, is a promising energy source can be converted into H2 by dry reforming reaction. In this study, membrane reactor adopted to promote the performance biogas reforming. The aim study investigate effect pressure sweep gas on get H2. molar ratio supplied CH4:CO2 reaction temperature also investigated. It observed that impact psweep concentrations CO2 small irrespective temperature. CO increase with an in t. concentration H2, at outlet chamber, reduces decrease psweep. due extraction from chamber chamber. highest obtained case = 1:1. 1.5:1. 500 °C 0.045 MPa.

Pure Hydrogen Production in Membrane Reactor with Mixed Reforming Reaction by Utilizing Waste Gas: A Case Study

A rise in CO2 and other greenhouse gases’ concentration from gas refinery flares and furnaces in the atmosphere causes environmental problems. In this work, a new process was designed to use waste gas (flue gas and flare gas) of a domestic gas refinery to produce pure hydrogen in a membrane reactor. In particular, the process foresees that the energy and CO2 content of flue gas can provide the ...

CFD-simulation of membrane reactor for methane steam reforming

A membrane reactor is a reaction system that provides higher productivity and lower separation cost in chemical reaction processes. In this paper, packed bed catalytic membrane reactor with palladium membrane for methane steam reforming was analyzed both experimentally and numerically. The numerical model consists of a full set of partial differential equations derived from conservation of mass...

Efficient production of hydrogen from natural gas steam reforming in palladium membrane reactor

Ultra-thin, high performance composite palladium membrane, developed via a novel electroless plating method, was applied to construct a membrane reactor for methane steam reforming reaction, which was investigated under the following working conditions: temperature 723–823 K, pressure 300–900 kPa, gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) 4000–8000 mL g 1 cat h , steam-to-carbon feed ratio (S/C, mol/mol...

Catalytic Reforming of CH4 with CO2 in a Membrane Reactor: A Study on Effect of Pressure

Therefore, the RWGS reaction was also included in the analysis. As will be seen this reaction plays an extremely important role, limiting the amount of hydrogen that can be produced at high pressures. The reforming reaction was carried out at various pressures and temperatures and, for the first time, a tradeoff in hydrogen production due to the effect of pressure on thermodynamic equilibrium a...
